DESTINY. John and Samuel were brought up in a remote village where they all attended the popular government elementary school and graduated the same year. Both secured admissions into various universities and also graduated the same year. They were all jobless and were desperately seeking for jobs. One fateful morning John received a message from an uncle who worked with an organization in the city inviting him to come over quickly for an interview which was to hold the following day. John told his friend Samuel about it and all were very excited. Samuel had a car and offered to escort John to the city where the interview was to hold.9688291330607740 They all prepared and took to the city. They arrived the uncle's house safely and were welcome by him. Much later the uncle asked John if he was prepared for the interview and whether he had his credentials ready. Sadly, John had not brought his credentials along. The uncle was shocked to know John could be so foolish. It was now very clear to all of them that John was not going to participate in the interview exercise which was to hold the next day by 8:00 am prompt because it was humanly impossible for him to travel back home to bring his credentials and still catch up with the scheduled time. For Samuel, he was fun of carrying his credentials anywhere he travels to. Samuel now made it known to John's uncle that he had his credentials ready and ask if he could replace John. The uncle consented because that was just the best option available. John attended the interview and was successful. He was given his appointment letter and was asked to assume work immediately. John was left to go back home alone and sadly. When he got home, he narrated the story to his friends and family members. Many of his friends blamed him for being careless while some preferred to blame Samuel. Since then, this incident has been a subject for discussion in many quarters among his friends, some blaming him for his carelessness. For me, I believe the job was never meant for John. Destiny only used him as a stepping stone for Samuel. I look forward to hearing your opinion. Cheers.
